There are many factors that influence the turn around time in a computer repair shop.  Each one is variable and can shorten or lengthen the time to get your equipment back to you in a timely manner.  We strive to keep these factors minimized to shorten the stay of your computer in our shop.

What is the Panther Computers return policy?

 

This policy applies to all Panther Computers purchases.

 

30-day Return Period

We accept returns or exchanges 30 days from the original purchase, excluding nonreturnable items, and those covered by the 14 day return period shown below. All refunds after 14 days will be for store credit only.  Please review the details below.

 

14-day Return Period

We accept returns or exchanges 14 days from the original purchase on computers, monitors, printers, notebook computers, and hard drives.  Please review the details below.

 

Restocking Fee

Unless defective, a restocking fee of 15% may be charged on opened notebook computers, projectors, and digital cameras. Unless defective, a restocking fee of 25% will be charged on special order products.

 

Missing Item or Damaged Product Fee

A missing item or damaged product fee will be charged for any product missing the original box, packaging material, contents, accessories and/or manuals (i.e., any product not in "like new" condition).

 

Return and Exchange Requirements

Your original receipt is required for all returns, exchanges, price matches and warranty repair services. All returns, exchanges and price adjustments must be made in the city of original purchase. For cash purchases over $50, your refund will be issued by check from our corporate office within 14 business days of the return.

 

Personal Data

Please remove all personal data (e.g., computer or wireless phone data, videotapes) from any returned or exchanged products. Panther Computers is not responsible for any personal data left on or in these items.

 

Nonreturnable Items

  • Labor, delivery, and/or installation services

  • Consumable items such as phone cards, gift cards

  • Single use items such as data transfer cables

  • Items that are damaged or abused.

  • Self installed electronics such as memory, hard disks, controller cards, power supplies, CPUs, etc. Purchase and installation of self installed electronics removes Panther Computers from the warranty process.

  • Opened computer software, movies, music and video games can be exchanged for the identical item if available but cannot be returned for a refund.

  • Any merchandise missing the original Universal Product Code (UPC) is available for an even exchange only on the identical product – if available.

  • Used parts and equipment are non-refundable, but are covered under a 30-day repair or replacement warranty with equal or better parts at the discretion of the local Panther Computers location, unless self installed.

 

Any product that is returned without promotional item(s) included with the original transaction will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount.

 

 

Panther Computers reserves the right to deny any return. This policy may be amended in part or in whole without prior notice.  

Panther Computers only warranties Panther PCs built locally, and any parts that we install as part of repairs or upgrades performed in store.  Self installed and used parts have no in store warranty but may have manufacturers warranties.  All other items including, but not all inclusive, monitors, notebooks, tablets, printers, etc have manufacturer warranties that must be satisfied by the manufacturers.

 

Limited Warranty

Every Panther PC includes a 1 year warranty and the Panther promise to be 100% Pirate Free.  This warranty covers every original part in the computer or any subsequent parts installed by Panther Computers till the end of the warranty period.

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your Panther PC branded hardware products.

Every Panther PC has an optional 2nd and 3rd year warranty that, if purchased, will extend the warranty period accordingly.

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Software, including the operating system and software added to the Panther PC branded hardware, third-party software, or the reloading of software
  • Non-Panther Computers branded products and accessories
  • Used parts and equipment
  • Problems that result from:
    Bullet External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, overclocking, or problems with electrical power
    Bullet Servicing not authorized by Panther Computers
    Bullet Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions
    Bullet Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance
    Bullet Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by Panther Computers
  • Products with missing or altered Serial numbers
  • Products for which Panther Computers has not received payment

 

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE (OR JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION). PANTHER COMPUTER\'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD REFLECTED ON YOUR PACKING SLIP OR INVOICE. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THIS LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

In addition to this limited warranty, Panther Computers products are assembled from high quality components that are further backed by manufacturer\'s warranties.  The following warranties typically apply, but check the warranty information included with your Panther PC equipment for each  items specific coverage:

  • Memory carries a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer
  • MSI Motherboards carry a 3 year limited warranty
  • Intel offers a three (3) year limited warranty to original purchasers of Intel boxed processors.
  • Seagate hard drive warranty varies depending on the model
  • Other add-on hardware typically carries a 1-year limited warranty.

The limited warranty on all Panther PC branded products begins on the date you accept delivery of the equipment. The warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace a warranted product or any parts. Panther Computers may change the availability of limited warranties, at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive. Typical reasonable exclusions apply (acts of God, acts of Satan, nature, war, government, etc.)
