There are several considerations when looking at upgrading from older operating systems that can prevent you from doing so.  Below is some things that must be considered when looking to upgrade to Windows 7 from older operating systems.  W7 Home Premium upgrade costs $119.99 at Panther Computers and we will install it for $50.

Here is the roundabout tale of how I came to enter the computer business back in 1986 after having started, then dropped the computer science program intending to become a professional programmer after high school. It gives you a little insight on my journey, but also hopefully awaken you to the types of scams used by computer repair stores that still permeates the business today.

Windows 7 Continues the disappointment started by Windows Vista. Based on current in store testing of Windows 7 compared to Windows Vista, there's not much difference. Sure its a bit snappier, but still requires a workhorse computer to be half as good as an old pc running Windows XP. ("This is the worst Internet I've ever used" quipped a user of the Windows 7 pc in our web cafe) If the final release is no better than the current "release candidate" we believe Microsoft will continue to see a wholesale loss of clients to (Linux) Ubuntu and Apple.

Panther Computers now only provides support for Linux, Windows XP, and Windows Vista/Seven machines.  This means we will no longer provide repair services for machines running DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000.  These machines are usually at least 7 years or older and much of the computing world no longer supports or creates software for these machines.  The Panther Tuneup cannot be performed on these machines, nor can you get security updates that can ensure a reasonably safe internet experience.

Did you get a box store or mail order computer when you could have had a Panther PC with two years of AVG Anti-Virus and fully functional software?
