Its ok to be computer illiterate, but you don't have to be CyberStupid!

There's a fine line between being informative and bashing your competitors, but sometimes in the interest of the consumer you have to take that chance and put it out there. I run the risk of creating distaste and loosing current or potential customers who deem my expression of concern to be nothing but self pandering gibberish and competitor bashing. However when I see and hear of customer interactions that show profound lack of ethics, judgment, or capability I have a deep compulsion to let others know so that they won't fall prey to similar incidental or purposeful actions by others in my industry.

CyberStupid! originally focused on one guy that I learned about and opine is a blight on the computer business. There are others in the area that usually need no bashing as their reputations speak for themselves, however there comes a time when would be consumers should consider what type of so called expertise they may think to employ. In these Articles you will see a a summary of the circumstance and a critique of the actions described. And remember - Its ok to be computer illiterate, but you don't have to be CyberStupid!

Basic computer knowledge should be required before you can open a computer business, but there are those that have certifications like A+ that are supposed to represent having gained enough knowledge to equate to six months of experience in the computer world, but often are not.

This CyberStupid! is aimed at another local business that had a monopoly in the area for nearly ten years before serious contenders like Panther Computers moved in and provided an alternative to the old telephone company ways of – we don't care we don't have to. Unfortunately having those years ahead of the curve didn't seem to give Milton Computers the knowledge base they needed nor has some of their younger employees with certifications helped them overcome this deficiency.
